"Joe"
“Joe” was the runt out of a litter of 11 and as you can see, he turned out to be a handsome young man, weighing about 90 lbs. He tries extremely hard to please and is very calm natured dog but with a strong desire to retrieve. His sire is GMHR, HRCH Southland Bonnie Blue Belle, MH, a son of my beloved GMHR Southland Leroy Brown. Blu is one of the only tri-titled hunt test dogs in the country. Joe is a well balanced hunting dog and attained his UKC Hunting Retriever (HR). Joe’s dam is Clubmead’s Fine China whose heritage stems from such well known dogs a NAFC-CNAFC-FC Ebonstar Lean Mack and FC-AFC Candlewood’s M.D. Houston.

“Rosie” is a new addition to Southland Kennels. She is one of two nice brood bitches that I acquired from Evergreen Farm in Stafford, VA. This is not Rosie’s first litter nor her first with Joe. She is an easy going 65 lb. chocolate female. She gets along well with my other dogs and is an excellent Dam to her puppies.
OFA Hips (Excellent), OFA Elbows (Normal) and CERF (Clear).
This combination between Joe and Rosie should produce wonderful family companion dogs plus, if desired, light hunting dogs. I expect the pups to be very average in size, well built and have strong retrieving instincts. This black and chocolate litter will be ready to go the weekend of July 4th. The cost is $1300.00.
