"Chance"
HRCH BOK Risky Business MH, CD, RA, CGC "Chance" is a 4 year old yellow male owned by Will White of Burnt Oak Kennels in Carson, VA. He is a beautiful mixture of show and field lines with a ton of drive. He is a 75 lb. true fox red with a blocky head, athletic build, and otter tail. He is an excellent marker and is still and quiet at the line. He is very honest with a strong desire to please. Chance is a very smart and sensible dog who is great with other dogs and children. He is wide open in the field but is calm and quiet when my wife takes him to the ring to run obedience and rally events, he is truly an all around lab and has all the traits we look for in a retriever. Chance is qualified for the 2015 Master National Event and will be aquiring his HRC upland title and runnning AKC flushing tests this coming Spring.

"Dixie II"
“Dixie” is a new addition to Southland Kennels. She was purchased from Dark Timber Kennels in Boyd, TX. She is a 65 lb. darker yellow female. Pups from her previous litter have shown incredible talent with lots of drive. Her sire is the well known FC-AFC Rebel With A Cause. In addition, on her dam’s side is Richard A. Wolters’ dog, GMHR Southland Duck Soup. “Duck” is out of FC-AFC Trumarc’s Hot Pursuit and GMHR Southland Thunder Annie. “Percy” is out of NAFC-FC-AFC San Joaquin Honcho, the leading sire of FCs in the history of the AKC. “Annie” is out of GMHR Trieven Thunder Annie, the first NAHRA Master Hunting Retriever (MHR) in the Nation. This is an incredible pedigree with some of the best “old blue blood” there is.
Dixie is OFA (Good), OFA Elbows (Normal), CERF (Clear), EIC (Clear) and CNM (Clear).
This is a really nice breeding with some very special bloodlines. I plan to keep a female from this litter to add to my breeding program. The litter is due to whelp October 31st and will be ready to go the weekend just prior to Christmas. What a perfect Christmas gift. The cost is $1900.00.
